Brenden was selected in the 3rd Round of the WHL Bantam Draft by the Spokane Chiefs. He then went on to have an amazing career in the red and white. Brenden is currently the franchise all-time leader in points by a defenceman. In his 333-game career with the Chiefs, Brenden amassed an incredible 67 goals, 201 assists for a career total of 268 points. Brenden was the Chiefs Captain in his final year with the team. The list of accomplishments from Brenden’s junior career are long and impressive, including: 3 WHL All-Star selections, 3-time WHL Leading Scorer (Defenceman), and the 2012 WHL Defenceman of the Year Award.
Brenden was selected in the 5th round of the NHL Draft by the New York Islanders in 2011, and again in the 2013 NHL Draft by the Winnipeg Jets. He would later sign with the Jets, and go on to an impressive AHL career. After playing two more professional seasons in Europe, Brenden decided to retire with an impressive 425 professional games under his belt.
As a skills coach, Brenden aims to help young players understand the position, and teach them to amplify their talents to fit in to today’s style of hockey. As a dynamic, offensive defenceman, Brenden’s instincts and knowledge will go a long way in helping young players understand and succeed in the defence position.
After being drafted in the 6th round of the WHL Bantam Draft by the Spokane Chiefs, Anthony went on to play three and a half seasons with the Chiefs. He amassed WHL career totals of 90 Goals and 100 Assists in 266 WHL games. Anthony then continued his career at the University of British Columbia, in his 4 years there he produced 36 goals and 66 assists for 102 points in 110 games. He then took his career to Europe to play professionally. In his first professional season in the AlpsHL, Anthony won the League Championship, and earned the AlpsHL MVP honors. After two successful seasons in the AlpsHL, he then spent the next 4 seasons in the EBEL (ICEHL). Anthony has played over 300 professional games, and continues his career in France. As an Italian citizen, Anthony also got the opportunity to represent team Italy in two, IIHF Top Division World Championships in 2019, and 2021 respectively.
Anthony has many years of experience as a skills coach, working hockey camps every summer throughout his junior and professional career. Over the years he has worked with hundreds of kids to help develop their on-ice skills and get them to the next level, from beginners all the way up to junior and pro players.
